LA has a countless offering of local and tangential bars and watering holes. Some serve as the perfect pre-game spot before heading to a concert; some bring the show to the bar. For those who like to saddle up at the counter, enjoy a cocktail with a live musical performance, we've teamed back up with our friends at Deep Eddy Vodka to bring you our favorite bars with live music!
The Love Song Bar
When they’re not spinning vinyl, The Love Song Bar hosts a lovely array of live music residencies, Regent Theater after-parties, and artist showcases in DTLA. Come for the warm ambiance and deliciously crafted cocktails and stay for a music discovery experience!
The Hi Hat
What used to be a billiards bar, was (semi) recently revamped into a Highland Park hub for live music. Smack in the center of York Blvd, joyously attached to Burgerlords, the Hi Hat has quickly become one of our favorite places for a bite, drink, and a show. Check out their calendar and stop by on a free night, or cop a ticket for an artist you'd like to see.
The Hotel Cafe
One of Hollywood's most iconic venues, The Hotel Cafe now has double the performances with not one, but two stages. The acoustic-heavy venue is renowned as a launchpad for singer-songwriters everywhere and hosts a variety of up-and-coming talent as well as surprise shows with major music industry artists.
The owners of Highland Park Bowl, Bigfoot (West & East) La Cuevita, Thirsty Crow, Oldfield’s and Harlow also bring us Sassafras. Right in the heart of Hollywood, the converted Savannah Townhouse offers warm spirits, through their drinks, staff, and performers.
Harvard & Stone
A favorite neighborhood whiskey bar, Harvard & Stone features American made spirits, burlesque dancers with The H&S Band, and weekday local band showcases and DJ sets. Friendly, knowledgeable bartenders and ample seating and standing room ensure a great experience.
Nestled on Hollywood Blvd, The Study hosts a variety of live music and dance parties with specialty cocktails and light bites. Decorated with patio plants and (as the name intends) a wide range of hardcover books, The Study is a place where you can easily get lost in literary titles and live performances.
A welcome newcomer in the Arts District, Resident is a hybrid bar, beer garden and music venue that honors the creative spirit of their community. Come by on weekend mornings for brunch and enjoy the patio, cocktails and LA weather or enjoy evening performances from touring and local musicians!
The Federal Bar
In addition to the food and cocktail offerings from both locations of the Federal Bar comes a series of entertainment options. From comedy and trivia nights to DJ’s, dance and music nights, you can always find something fun to do here!
The Silverlake Lounge
The Silverlake Lounge is a no-nonsense, cash-only venue showcasing local indie rockers, plus comedy & drag queen nights. The Lounge, like the Hotel Cafe, is a well-known launchpad for local artists. At the center of the intersection between Echo Park and Silver Lake, it’s a community staple for music lovers in LA.
Known for their food as well as their drinks, the stage at Villains Tavern in the Arts District is always entertaining! It doesn’t matter if you're a regular or a newcomer, always make sure to check out their specialty, limited release cocktails offerings, they’re not to be missed.
Molly Malone's Irish Pub
A well-known LA landmark, Molly Malone's has been owned and operated by the same Irish family for 43 years. The venue brings together both drinks and music that celebrate the Irish culture. Get a dose of Dublin, right in Los Angeles!
A legendary tastemaker for the east side indie rock set, The Satellite embraces (and makes stars of) rising bands from across the world and down the block.
Meet us at The Lincoln on Sundays at Sunset for live music, $14 rose flights, $5 mimosas, and buckets of beer. They also feature a variety of DJ nights with vinyl and danceable tunes to elevate your evenings.
