Los Angeles City Hall
Another downtown destination, head to LA City Hall for their 27th-floor observation deck. The historic building gives you clear skyline views that make the makes the peaking sun glimmer gorgeously.
The Getty Center offers beauty both inside and out, explore the gardens and deck that offer up expansive views over the 405. The renowned campus offers iconic views from high.
One of the most important Hollywood vantage points is the Griffith Observatory. The famous deck has been hosting viewers since 1935. Grab a telescope and watch the sun rise (or set) over Los Angeles.

Wisdom Tree & Cahuenga Peak
The pinnacle of a staple LA hike, the Wisdom Tree is a local landmark. The city views stretch to the ocean and is an epic place for you to take in the rising of the sun.
You’ll likely find company when heading to Runyon Canyon, the 3-mile hike is one of the most popular in LA. It’s all for a good reason, sweeping views of LA make for a truly special sunrise.
Corral Canyon Trail
At Corral Canyon Park you can take a hike through the loop or just enjoy parkside views of Malibu. Just off the PCH the trail offers varying views as you make your way through the canyons.
Los Leones Hiking Trail
Active sunrise seekers can flock to Los Leones Trail for a moderate hike and priceless views. another westside trek, the sights even stretch out to Catalina Island!

Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden
The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre botanical garden and historical site located in what was the heart of the historic Rancho Santa Anita in the city of Arcadia. Enjoy early morning Tai Chi class or just explore the greenery and the grounds. Keep an eye out for peacocks walking the fields!
